Fundraising

Sponsorship

Our main revenue stream is through sponsoring of  our projects in India.  Sponsorship gives a child or widow a future that they may not otherwise have.  Without sponsors, the people we care for rely on the one-off donations that come into the charity.  Individual sponsorship enables a relationship to develop with the sponsor through letters, birthday and Christmas cards.  These relationships often span many years.  General sponsorship enables sponsors to change the amount they are able to give according to their circumtances whilst maintaining an interest or ‘share’ in the project they sponsor.  Some of our sponsors have been to India, by prior arrangement and agreement, to meet the child or widow they sponsor – a special event for all concerned.

Mini Biathlon

This is an annual event, held on the Middlewood Way near Poynton, Cheshire.  The course is along an old railway line so it is flat and traffic free.  Participants run for 4 miles, then cycle for 6 miles, raising as many sponsors as possible.  There are refreshments to buy afterwards.  The event usually happens in the first week of May.  Fancy joining in?  Click here to download our Mini Biathlon information pack.

Talks

We are available to come and talk to your organisation about the charity and what we do.  If you would like to arrange a talk, with full power point presentation, then please contact Grace or Paul Nadin-Salter on: 01625 501998 or by email: grace@indiadirect.org.uk
