Poynton High School Fund-Raising Success!

Poynton High School has very close links with India Direct, having taken two groups of students out to India to both visit and work on our projects. The trips have benefitted both the students and our projects. We are constantly amazed by the resourcefulness, commitment and dedication the Poynton students have shown towards India Direct.

Scholarships for our students in India

MP Divya, Ammu & Satya have won scholarships from the Tamil Nadu Government of Rs.6000 per month because they won races and events in the district sports competition. Money will be deposited in their bank accounts, which will be opened for and their parents can save it for their child's future.

Knights Solicitors Support India Direct

Knights Solicitors, Newcaste Under Lyme, kindly offered to donate all monies from their annual charity lunch "Chinese Whispers" to India Direct and to make us their charity for the year. Harry Lawson Court Event

A sheltered housing project in Macclesfield holds a Tea and Chat event once a month, hosted by members of Holy Trinity Church Hurdsfield. The venue is delightful and is well attended.
